“House Service” App, founded, owned and managed by House Service App LTD in the UK, is a “platform” that connects freelancers who provide household services to households and small businesses that are looking to hire skilled people, also called “service provider” or “freelancer.”

“Service” in this document means the task, chore or job that the service provider or freelancer is offering to perform and complete.

“Hirer” is the individual, household or small business that “orders” a service from the service provider and completes the payment online.

“Payment” is the online transfer of money that the hirer makes to the “House Service” App with the intention to purchase a service. These funds are stored until confirmation that the service has been delivered, after which the funds are then transferred into the service provider’s account.

“We” and “our” refers the team behind “House Service” App and House Service App LTD, UK.

“User” refers to every individual, either a service provider or a hirer who registers on the “House Service” App.

Privacy Policy

All person-identifiable data that is entered onto the “House Service” App will remain private and protected and will not be shared with any third parties except with your permission. House Service collects personal information when you register with and use the App. This may include, but is not limited to, your name, address, phone number, contact details, birth date, gender, credit card and account details, occupation, interests, and application details for verification services. By using this app, you consent to your basic contact information, including your location, being shared with other users on this platform.

We will also use your contact information to contact you directly for further updates on the “House Service” App, internal and external advertisements and for customer service purposes. We may also use your information as required by law, order of a court, tribunal or regulator or if House Services reasonably believes that the use or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary for enforcement related activities. All data submitted onto this platform is owned by the “House Service” App and House Service App LTD, UK, and will be used to assess the level of our services, performance of the App, demographical analysis of our users, and determine ways to further improve the in-App experience for our customers. House Service App LTD, UK is GDPR compliant.

If We collect, use or disclose any information from you that is not personal information, but is sensitive information (such as information relating to police checks conducted on users of the App), then we will seek consent directly from you each time we collect, use or disclose your sensitive information, including for direct marketing purposes. We will not use or disclose your sensitive information for any other purpose unless the purpose is directly related to the primary purpose for which your sensitive information was collected.

We will allow you, at most times, to access, edit, update, and/ or delete the personal information that we hold about you, unless:

  • We are legally permitted or required to deny you access to, and/or to retain, the information; or
  • You make request(s) that are unreasonably repetitive, require House Service to make a disproportionate technical effort (for example, to develop an entirely new system), risk the privacy of others, or would be highly impractical to comply with; or
  • You have made, cancelled or completed orders on the App. In this scenario, House Service App Admin will store all the necessary information about the users and the order for future reference.

By law, if any of your personal information/Personal Data provided to House Service is subject to GDPR in the European Union, you have the following rights when it comes to your personal information/Personal Data:

We only retain your personal information/Personal Data for as long as is necessary for us to use your information as described above or to comply with our legal obligations and legitimate interests. Please be advised that this means that we may retain some of your personal information/Personal Data after you cease to use our Services. For instance, we may retain your data as necessary to meet our legal obligations, such as for tax and accounting purposes.
